How to use wordle solver

  1. 1

Enter green letters in their correct boxes, leaving unknown positions empty.

  2. 2

Write yellow letters with blocked positions, such as R2 when R cannot be second.

  3. 3

Enter confirmed gray letters, then search the candidates ranked by useful common letters.

Understanding the three clue types

A green clue fixes a letter to one position. A yellow clue requires that letter but blocks the position where it was tried. A gray clue excludes a letter, or rules out extra copies when that letter also has green or yellow clues.

Repeated-letter clues

Repeated letters are counted. Enter a yellow token once for each confirmed copy, while green copies are counted from the position boxes. A gray copy caps that letter at exactly the number of green and yellow copies. For example, one yellow P and a gray P allow one P, not two. Enter clues from a single guess at a time; repeating the same yellow letter from different guesses would incorrectly require extra copies.
