About WordDucky

WordDucky is an independent collection of word utilities and games. The tools are designed to be quick, clear, and useful on a phone without requiring an account.

How searches work

The dictionary is downloaded only when a tool needs it. Searches then run locally in the browser using shared, tested letter-count and pattern logic. No entered rack, pattern, or clue needs to be sent to an external solving API.

Dictionary scope

The current dataset is the MIT-licensed word-list package, version 4.1.0, containing about 274,000 lowercase entries. It is a broad spelling list, not a definitions database and not an official authority for a branded board or daily word game.
